Under-18s from Gloucestershire have an exciting opportunity to star in a new film, with open auditions being held this April 2024.

Girls aged from 15 to 17 and boys aged from 11 to 16 are being sought out to star in a new feature film — and no previous acting experience is required.

Children from all over the West Country are invited to attend the casting call on Saturday 13 April, at the Redwell Centre in Gloucester, near Matson Park.

The event will take place from 12pm to 4pm — with applicants having a quick chat with a casting director — not a scary audition!

Des Hamilton Casting is a BAFTA-award winning casting company that specialises in finding new talent who have never acted before. It has cast stars for well-known projects, such as the Netflix hit series Top Boy, Oscar-winning film Jojo Rabbit and ITV's Breathtaking.

Successful applicants will be paid for their roles, with shooting set to start in Bristol later this year.

Those wanting to try out should just turn up at the venue — there's no need to book; and under 16s should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
