A series of free workshops are taking place this summer at The Isbourne in Cheltenham to prepare young people to enter the world of work.

Leaving school can be a thrilling prospect, but it can also be daunting if you're not sure about your next steps.

Gloucestershire business consultancy firm, Brave, is launching a series of free workshops aimed at preparing current Year 13 students for the world of work, as they gear up to enter employment after finishing their education.

Three workshops are taking place throughout the summer and promise an inspirational and informative experience, but in an informal and fun environment — great for meeting people in the same position, too!

Full of insights, the 'Next Step — Support and guidance for school leavers' workshops are running at The Isbourne in Cheltenham on Thursday 9th May from 4pm until 7pm; on Tuesday 18th June from 2pm until 5pm; and on Thursday 4 July from 2pm until 5pm.

A whole host of topics are set to be discussed and explored from gaining an understanding of individual strengths and working on how best to sell them, to getting support with CVs to ensure skills are laid out in the best way to make them stand out to employers.

Whatever attendees are wanting to go into, the Brave team is armed with knowledge and experience to give plenty of tips and tricks for when it comes to searching for that dream job, as well as how to best approach the businesses and employers who could make those dreams come true.

And probably the most important part of each workshop is the advice and training on the interview process, which you won't dread after learning all the tips and tricks.

Some people thrive and others crack under the pressure of an interview, but Brave is aiming to help individuals by offering handy hints when it comes to technique, as well as well as how to properly prepare — especially if the nerves take over.

Brave, located in Cheltenham, is a full-service business consultancy service, with expertise in workplace strategy, HR, resourcing, learning and development.

Those wishing to register for a place on one of the free 'Next Step — Support and guidance for school leavers' workshops can do so via eventbrite.com, and for more information, visit brave-people.com.
