The luxury shepherd’s hut known as Acorn’s Nest looks over the stunning vista of Batsford Arboretum.

Featuring a modern shower room, a private cottage garden, lighting and electricity and room for two to sleep, the luxury hut is perfect for those wanting to spend the night inside one of the county’s most famous natural attractions.

Guests to the lovely space will be given a 10 per cent discount to enjoy the neighbouring arboretum, too.

The Acorn’s Hut is operated by Heather Priest who has lived at Batsford Arboretum for more than 10 years. Speaking to SoGlos Heather explained how the idea to create the unusual accommodation had come about: ‘We had a section of garden which we rarely used, so with the help of our three sons and their various trades, we spent three months overhauling the area to create the Shepherd’s Hut.

‘It is the perfect place for anyone wanting to explore the Cotswolds with Moreton in Marsh, Stow on the Wold, Broadway and Chipping Campden all on our doorstep.’
