Daylesford Organic, set up in the Cotswolds as a farm shop in 2002, is now a UK leader in sustainable farming.

Daylesford Organic's best sellers are being celebrated as the popular upmarket brand marks its 20th anniversary.

The organic champion, which began life as a farm shop on a working farm in the Cotswolds in 2002, is marking the occasion this September with a range of 20 specially selected food and drink items in commemorative packaging.

The collection, from its creamery, bakery, patisserie, kitchens, market garden and pastures as well as limited edition treats from suppliers, includes new launches as well as Daylesford's most iconic products - some of which have been best-sellers over the past 20 years.

Now firmly established as one of the most sustainable farms and food retailers in the UK, one of the businesses top sellers is cheese - Daylesford produces 25 tonnes of it each year.

SoGlos tried a range of its most popular items, from lemon drizzle cake to its most mature cheddar, with the team giving its rich flavours a resounding thumbs up.

When founder Carole Bamford opened the first farm shop in Kingham, near Stow-on-the-Wold, it sold a handful products including homemade organic soups, sandwiches, tea, grass-pastured meat, cheese, bread and vegetables.

Now, Daylesford has more than 6,000 products and over 500 staff helping to produce food and drink, home and garden wares, as well as clothing and spa treatments. It also has shops and cafes at four sites in London.

Asked of her ambitions for the future, Bamford said: 'For the next 20 years Daylesford will continue to work in harmony with the natural world.'
