A movie-esque engagement story, Daniel Kinney proposed to his partner of seven years, film fanatic Louisa Hanley, with a ‘Marvel-lous’ proposal in Glasgow.
Disguised as Louisa’s favourite superhero character, Iron Man, Daniel popped the question on one of Glasgow’s busiest streets, surprising Louisa who was shopping with her friend.
The proposal had been planned to perfection by Daniel; with help from jewellers, Beaverbrooks, Daniel arranged a shopping trip for Louisa and her friend, who was in on the stunt.
When Louisa gave some spare change to ‘Iron Man’, Daniel dropped to one knee, removed his mask, and asked the all-important question – revealing a gorgeous engagement ring.
Speaking about the proposal, Beaverbrooks Braehead’s head of jewellery and diamond rings, Lorna Haddon, said: ‘A marriage proposal is an important milestone in any relationship, and it’s the special little details that make it personal and unique for every couple, which is why we wanted to help Daniel create the superhero proposal he’d always wanted.
‘Dressing up as his partner’s favourite film character certainly added an element of surprise, and it was great to be able to help them create a truly magical moment they will both remember forever.
‘Daniel chose a Silver Cubic Zirconia Twist Solitaire proposal ring to pop the question and then visited the store afterwards where he picked out a beautiful platinum pear shaped diamond ring together with Louisa.’
