A gorgeous Gloucestershire hotel has been recognised in The Wedding Industry Awards 2024, with De Vere Tortworth Court taking home the title of best hotel wedding venue in the south west.
The hotel in Wotton-Under-Edge — run by De Vere, whose property portfolio also includes De Vere Cotswold Water Park — offers a collection of wedding spaces licensed for civil ceremonies, including an ornate Victorian Orangery for wow-factor weddings.
Any Ultimate Wedding Planner fans will recognise the Orangery from the reality show, which aired on BBC Two earlier this year.
Flooded with natural light thanks to its ornamental glass ceiling, the showstopping ceremony space is at the heart of the Victorian conservatory, which dates back to 1874.
There's an outside dining area, perfect for an alfresco drinks reception to toast the happy couple, while the surrounding 30-acre parkland provides plenty of photo opportunities to capture those all-important wedding pictures.
Polly Savage, wedding manager at De Vere Tortworth Court, said: 'It’s an honour to win such a prestigious award. It’s so rewarding to know that the work that we do behind the scenes and on couple’s wedding days doesn’t go unmissed.
'The whole team are passionate about creating the most perfect day for all our couples and we all work tirelessly to make sure this happens. We’re looking forward to welcoming our 2024 brides to De Vere Tortworth Court in the new year.'
The Wedding Industry Awards is a real mark of quality, coveted by wedding suppliers across the UK — and De Vere Tortworth Court isn't the only Gloucestershire wedding business to win, with Manor By The Lake in Cheltenham, stationery creator Bellapeach Creative, mobile bar The Bar Bros, caterer Berry Blue Creative Food and live band Tux Fizz also scooping awards.
The Orangery at De Vere Tortworth Court has capacity for up to 120 guests.
It's now taking bookings for wedding ceremonies in 2024 and 2025, with private room hire prices starting at £1,400.
