Possibly one of Gloucestershire’s coolest staycations, WWT Slimbridge has launched a luxury holiday home experience at the attraction.
Set inside Slimbridge, Scott House: Bewick’s Lodge will provide a unique opportunity to stay inside the home of Sir Peter Scott, enjoy exclusive wildlife experiences and stay inside the attraction after all other visitors have gone home.
The apartment offers three bedrooms and sleeps six people. Inside, guests can take a look out of Sir Peter Scott’s observation tower, see his original drawings and plans and take in the wildlife and resident birds.
Optional exclusive wildlife experiences can be arranged for guests staying at Scott House: Bewick’s Lodge including a behind-the-scenes tour of Slimbridge, birdwatching or a four-course meal cooked by a professional chef.
Speaking about the new staycation accommodation, general manager of WWT Slimbridge, Gary Haseley-Nejrup said: ‘Never before have we offered such an immersive experience, in which you can view our amazing wildlife spectacle from Sir Peter’s private viewing tower and garden, bed down in the lap of luxury and be awoken by the sounds of birdsong that is unique to Slimbridge.’
