The Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester is set to become the new jewel in the crown of hospitality group Brakspear.
The latest acquisition to the group's Honeycomb House estate, which represents Brakspear’s top venues, has closed its doors ready for a grand reopening on Thursday 17 April 2025.
Packed with historic period features, the characterful boutique hotel in the centre of Cirencester has 66 bedrooms.
The prominent hotel also has a lounge bar, restaurant, courtyard garden and rooftop terrace, as well as two vaulted cellars dating back to Roman times that have previously been used for live music, parties, weddings and events.
Brakspear owns 120 pubs including the newly acquired The Redesdale Arms Hotel in Moreton-in-Marsh along with Egypt Mill in Nailsworth, The Frogmill at Andoversford, The Sheep and The Porch House in Stow-on-the-Wold.
Brakspear CEO, Tom Davies, said: 'We’re absolutely delighted to be adding the Kings Head to the Honeycomb Houses portfolio. It’s an incredible venue with so much to offer both locals and visitors to the area.
'We’ll continue to ensure it remains a completely unique and historic place to stay, drink and dine in style following an initial investment in staff training and new menus to create a truly irresistible offering.'
Following the takeover this week, Brakspear's Honeycomb House team is training the Kings Head’s existing staff alongside trialling its new seasonal menus of modern British dishes.
