Based in Barnwood and within easy reach of the Golden Valley and the M5, Holiday Inn Gloucester-Cheltenham, under Valor Europe management, has finally completed extensive renovations, revealing its impressive £3m refurbishment.

Work on the hotel's 125 bedrooms, entrance, outdoor area, meetings and events spaces started in August 2022 with its full launch on Thursday 20 July 2023.

The bedrooms have been refurbished in a modern style, with the new design bringing the style and facilities up to date.

In addition to new carpets, curtains, paint scheme and wallpaper, all the furniture has been replaced too. All rooms have brand-new, high quality beds with headboards; individual reading lights; USB sockets; 50-inch televisions with Chromecasts; and plugs

As well as thoughtfully updated bedrooms, the entrance has had a massive makeover, creating a warm and welcoming start to your stay.

The outdoor space has new patio heaters, mood lighting, canopies, blankets and botanical greenery to enjoy, whether guests are celebrating with the team, family or friends, alfresco dining or enjoying quiet drinks after a long day.

On top of this, the meeting and events rooms have installed upgraded technology and lighting features, along with new tables and chairs and locally themed photography displayed on the walls throughout the workspaces.

Holiday Inn offer eight flexible modern meeting rooms for up to 130 delegates and on-site parking. The AIM accredited (the UK's only recognised scheme for the meetings and events industry) venue can host all kinds of business events from meetings and conferences to seminars, training, presentations, exhibitions and more.

Brian McCarthy, managing director at Valor Hospitality said: 'We’re always looking for ways to improve guest experience. We know that refurbishments can make a significant difference to creating an inviting atmosphere and by making these changes we can continue to deliver an exceptional service in high quality surroundings.'

To add, Nadia Fakhredin, general manager at Holiday Inn Gloucester said: 'The refurbishment is incredibly exciting. We have completely modernised the hotel and have refitted the rooms to make it an invigorating space to stay – whether you’re visiting for business or pleasure.

'We’ve already had some fantastic feedback and we look forward to welcoming guests to the new and improved Holiday Inn Gloucester this summer.'
