A new overnight package comprising of a walking tour, hotel stay and special afternoon tea, has been launched at one of Gloucester’s most popular hotels.

The Woodland Wildlife package celebrates the Gloucestershire wildlife which inspired literary greats like Beatrix Potter.

Partnering with experts from the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, Mercure Gloucester Bowden Hall has created a special Beatrix Potter-inspired walking tour in the countryside grounds surrounding the grade II listed hotel.

The self-guided walking tour examines wildlife and plant life, as well as highlighting some of the Beatrix Potter character sketches which are in place throughout the hotel’s corridors.

The package is available from Wednesday 25 July until Sunday 30 September 2018 and is priced at £95 per room, including bed, breakfast and afternoon tea for two, as well as a walking map. The offer is also open to families, with a £5 supplement per child for afternoon tea.
