After receiving an overwhelming number of applications, SoGlos is pleased to announce Hope for Tomorrow as its Charity of the Year 2020.
Hope for Tomorrow is a charity which brings cancer treatment closer to patients with the use of its Mobile Cancer Care Units.
Supporting up to 25 patients a day in Gloucestershire, Hope for Tomorrow’s Mobile Cancer Unit travels across the county to provide chemotherapy and other support to cancer patients.
Providing a welcoming environment for patients to have cancer treatment, Hope for Tomorrow provides patients with a space to receive treatment without being in a hospital. The charity also helps to alleviate some of the strain on NHS hospitals.
Speaking about the announcement, fundraising manager, Nikki Budding said: ‘We’re delighted to have been selected as the SoGlos Charity of the Year 2020. Working together with SoGlos means we can get the word out there about the work Hope for Tomorrow does to bring cancer care closer to patients’ homes.
‘Our Mobile Cancer Care Units (MCCUs) visit a different location in Gloucestershire every weekday and we’re passionate about trying our best to ease the strains of travel cancer patients face. Being SoGlos’ Charity of the Year is a great opportunity for us to raise awareness for our work and hopefully raise some much-needed funds for our patients.’
