The Gloucestershire Guild of Craftsmen is giving locals a way to treat their mums this Mother’s Day 2021, while supporting some of the county’s most talented artists, designers and craftspeople.

Its new online shop, which launched in January 2021, is brimming with unique gifts for all occasions. And with Mother’s Day on Sunday 14 March 2021, shoppers are sure to find something special to honour the maternal figures in their lives, while celebrating and supporting local artists, too.

There’s a range of handmade ceramic kitchenware from different local designer-makers, including polka-dot juicers; plates and jugs sporting a funky retro design; and bowls with a glossy Japanese-style glaze.

With gift ideas to cover a range of budgets, shoppers can also find handwoven throws, wall art and accessories to suit every mum’s style – from dazzling feather brooches and handcrafted silver earrings, to leather purses and silk scarves.

The Guild also offers gift cards, which make the perfect present for parents who are hard to buy for.

The Gloucestershire Guild of Craftsmen is a charitable organisation, made up of designer-makers from across the county.

In addition to its online store, it runs a gallery shop in Cheltenham’s Chapel Arts on Knapp Road, showcasing an ever-changing selection of handmade jewellery, ceramics, furniture and more.

The physical store plans to reopen in April 2021, in line with the government’s gradual easing of lockdown restrictions.
