Cheltenham shopping centre, Regent Arcade, will reopen to shoppers on Monday 15 June 2020.
The announcement was made on Tuesday 9 June 2020 on its Facebook page, following the latest government advice allowing non-essential stores to reopen for the first time since lockdown began.
The shopping centre on Cheltenham High Street is home to over 50 brands including H&M, Topshop, TK Maxx, Boots Opticians and River Island, but not all stores will be reopening initially.
Several safety measures are being introduced to protect staff and shoppers, including floor stickers throughout the centre to help customers maintain two metre social distancing. Some stores have also installed screens at checkouts and staff will be supplied with PPE.
Regent Arcade is the second major shopping destination in Cheltenham to welcome shoppers back, after John Lewis in Cheltenham announced it would be reopening in June.
