A brand-new independent book shop is opening in Montpellier in Cheltenham this March 2022.

Husband-and-wife duo, Andy and Victoria Rossiter – who currently have bookshops in Ross-on-Wye, Leominster and Monmouth – are opening their latest branch of Rossiter Books on Rotunda Terrace on Saturday 12 March 2022.

Book lovers will be able to browse an abundance of literature, with around 7,000 titles to choose from, as well as meeting the author of Sunday Times bestseller The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, Rachel Joyce, who will be officially opening the shop and signing books.

Rossiter Books is known for its exciting events too, having hosted 50 events in a year – including hiring outdoor spaces, theatres and churches for author events.

The Cheltenham shop is expected to follow suit and is even hoping to receive a visit from The Gruffalo this summer 2022.

Talking about his plans for the Cheltenham branch, Andy Rossiter said he and his wife wanted to create a ‘friendly, bright and welcoming’ atmosphere for families and all visitors to enjoy and hoped to attract both book lovers and authors to the Cheltenham store.

He added: ‘We love Cheltenham. We love the independent vibe and we wanted to add to it’.

Rossiter Books opens on Saturday 12 March 2022 on Rotunda Terrace in Cheltenham.
