Lilian Faithfull Care is opening a brand-new charity shop, Faithfull Vintage and Treasure, in Tewkesbury this summer 2022.

Gloucestershire elderly care charity, Lilian Faithfull Care, is opening its first ever charity shop in Tewkesbury in 2022.

The new charity shop, which will be called Faithfull Vintage and Treasure, is located next to Peacocks, opposite Café au Chocolate on Tewkesbury High Street and is due to open in June 2022.

The shop will be stocked with vintage clothing, homeware and sustainable fashion items, as well as having a children’s section with ‘pocket money treasures’, books and clothes.

With a bright, modern and spacious design, the new store promises to make charity shopping ‘a real pleasure’ and be ‘a place where someone’s vintage becomes another’s new found treasure’, according to Lilian Faithfull Care.

The charity has been caring for elderly people in Gloucestershire for 76 years, with the Tewkesbury shop being the charity’s first.

Shop manager, Sarah Merritt, is a Tewkesbury local and has worked for Lilian Faithful Care for the last six years. She said: ‘I’ve worked in retail before so when this shop manager opportunity came up within the charity, it sounded perfect. I am excited about bringing a team of volunteers together and would love to hear from anyone who might be able to help.’

CEO of Lilian Faithfull Care, Martin Hughes, added: ‘The shop will raise important funds for the charity to care for more people in Gloucestershire, and raise awareness of the exceptional care we provide across our two adult day hubs and five residential and nursing homes.’

The shop is due to open in June 2022 and is already looking for volunteers aged 18 and over to work in store – either for a few hours or a full day on a regular basis.

Anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to email shop@lilianfaithfull.co.uk, or visit lilianfaithfull.co.uk/volunteer-application.
