Fashion retailer GAP has announced that it is closing all of its UK and Ireland stores permanently this year – with the GAP outlet at Gloucester Quays set to close on Saturday 18 September 2021.

As part of what’s being described as a ‘phased exit’, all of GAP’s other high street stores will close by Saturday 25 September 2021.

Shoppers across Gloucestershire and beyond will still be able to purchase their favourite GAP styles, as the fashion business transitions to a fully online model following the impact of the Covid-19 crisis.

The news comes as another blow to Gloucestershire’s high streets after Debenhams in Gloucester announced its closure in January 2021, Topshop and Miss Selfridge stores closed permanently in February 2021 with Dorothy Perkins, Wallis and Burton following suit just a week later, after also moving to online-only sales.

The GAP outlet at Gloucester Quays will be open until Saturday 18 September 2021.
