Free late-night parking for Cheltenham’s Christmas shoppers

Cheltenham Borough Council is offering free parking to shoppers taking advantage of the town’s late-night shopping.

People heading into the centre of Cheltenham to enjoy a spot of festive shopping, will be able to park for free at a number of locations around the town.

On Thursday 5 December 2019, it’ll be free to park your car at all Cheltenham Borough Council car parks from 1pm as part of Cheltenham’s late-night shopping event.

Council car parks include Rodney Road, Regent Arcade, St James Street, Royal Well, Town Centre East, Bath Parade, St George’s Road, and Chelt Walk car park.

As well as that, free park and ride services will run on Thursday 5 December 2019 on Stagecoach West services after 1pm.

Director of Cheltenham BID, Kevan Blackadder said: ‘Cheltenham is going to have more Christmas lights than ever before, and we’ve again worked with Montpellier-based Evenlode Productions on the switch-on event.

‘It’s going to be a spectacular event for all the family.’
