Cheltenham’s new Anthropologie store will open at the former Laura Ashley store on Cheltenham’s Promenade.

SoGlos broke the news back in February 2019 that the stylish home, clothing and accessory store would be making a move to the county this year, following in the footsteps of its sister brand, Urban Outfitters which moved to The Brewery Quarter back in 2018.

Planning documents have now been submitted to Cheltenham Borough Council’s planners to install a new fascia sign at the former Laura Ashley store at 92 Promenade, Cheltenham.

Anthropologie caters to an older demographic than sister brand Urban Outfitters, and offers a unique retail experience brimming with gift ideas, a curated mix of clothing, accessories and home décor, with the nearest store currently in Bath city centre.

The planning application from AMD interior architecture shows drawings for the new Anthropologie store, suggesting it will include a traditional yet contemporary storefront painted in sage green, in keeping with Cheltenham’s Regency style.
