Alexander & Co, one of the biggest estate agents in the south east, has taken over ownership of prominent Gloucestershire estate agency Peter Ball & Co.
Set up by husband-and-wife Peter Ball and Linda Ball 25 years ago, the well-known estate agency has five branches across Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham, Charlton Kings, Leckhampton and Tewkesbury, which will now all form part of the Alexander & Co family.
Alexander & Co commercial director, Paul Broomham, has said that the Peter Ball brand name, staff and contact details will all be retained, and customers can still expect great face-to-face service at each of the local offices.
Alexander & Co currently employs over 120 staff and represents over 3,500 buyers and sellers, plus 2,000 landlords. In the last 18 months it has sold 500 homes at a value of £165 million and generated £21 million in rental income.
With offices in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, the acquisition of Peter Ball sees the company expand into Gloucestershire for the first time in its 50th anniversary year.
Paul Broomham said: ‘This is a great opportunity for us to build on the reputation that Peter Ball has established over more than two decades and help the business in the Cheltenham area to flourish and grow.
