UK retailer ProCook, whose headquarters are situated in Quedgeley, has expressed its thanks to the NHS in Gloucestershire this week, donating 1,600 water bottles to front-line workers across county hospitals.
The popular cookware and kitchen retailer, which has more than 50 stores across the UK – including at Gloucester Quays and in Cirencester – donated the gift to benefit hospital critical care and theatre teams, emergency room staff and respiratory nurses; all of whom have been providing care for patients throughout the coronavirus crisis.
ProCook founder Daniel O’Neill said: ‘We wanted give something to Gloucestershire hospital staff to say thanks for the fantastic job they are all doing looking after us during this pandemic. We feel it’s important to support both the frontline workers and all the ‘unsung heroes’ of the NHS as it takes an incredible effort throughout the organisation to keep things running smoothly.
‘A drinks bottle is a small gesture but one we?are happy to offer and hopefully it will help keep the teams going on their long shifts. Most of our head office staff live in the area and are directly benefitting from their hard work.’
ProCook was founded more than 20 years ago and designs and manufacturers around 1,200 exclusive products spanning cookware, kitchen accessories and tablewear – employing 120 people in Gloucestershire and 535 across the UK.
