Zelda was one of a pair of mute swans who have been residents at Cheltenham’s Pittville Park for over a decade.

She was admitted to Vale Wildlife Hospital in Tewkesbury with a suspected fractured leg and an infection and sadly passed away at 10pm on Wednesday 16 June 2021 – with a Facebook post by the animal hospital saying there was ‘nothing that could have been done.’

The popular pair of swans are well known to locals in Cheltenham, with residents paying emotional tributes to Zelda on the Vale Wildlife Hospital Facebook page.

Zelda is survived by her mate, George, and their cygnets.
