It’s the news Cheltenham’s swimmers and sunseekers have been waiting for – Sandford Parks Lido has unveiled its summer opening date.
The Lido will be opening its gates for the summer season on Saturday 1 May 2021 – and although it’s later than in previous years, more family swim sessions will be added to the timetable, which is due to be announced soon.
Organisers anticipate that the 2021 season will start with similar Covid restrictions to the 2020 season, which included only lane swimming in the main pool, but will release more details closer to the time.
Season tickets will go on sale on Wednesday 15 March 2021, with anyone who deferred their 2020 season ticket due to be contacted within the next few weeks.
The Lido is due to be open from Saturday 1 May 2021 to Friday 8 October 2020 with organisers hoping to reintroduce a cold water season later in the year
