Newent’s International Centre for Birds of Prey is named the UK’s ninth best zoo.

The International Centre for Birds of Prey in Newent has been named as the ninth best zoo in the UK, according to Parkdean Resorts.

The popular Gloucestershire attraction was featured in Parkdean Resorts’ list of the UK’s best zoos to visit this summer, recognising the beautiful centre – which is home to more than 150 incredible birds of prey – as one of the best in England.

The list also highlights the impact of Covid-19 on zoos and wildlife attractions like the ICBP, with many having suffered significant losses due to being shut throughout lockdown. It aims to help support animals and workers by encouraging visitors to visit the attractions once again.

As well as the birds, the International Centre for Birds of Prey boasts 12 acres of land, with glorious gardens, fields and woods to explore.

There are also daily flying demonstrations and a café to refuel in, too – so there are plenty of reasons to add it to your must-visit list this summer.
