Gloucester Rugby is giving away more than 200 free pints at one of its home games.
The Cherry and Whites will face Leicester Tigers tonight (Friday 24 September 2021) at Kingsholm Stadium and 250 lucky fans will be able to get their hands on a free pint.
The giveaway celebrates the official cider of Gloucester Rugby, Stowford Press, taking over naming rights of one of the stadium’s bars.
The Shogun Bar will now be called the Stowford Press Clubhouse, furthering the relationship between the cider brand and the rugby club.
Operating on a first come, first served basis, the free pints will be one per person in the Stowford Press Clubhouse at tonight’s game (Friday 24 September 2021) which is Gloucester Rugby’s first home game of the season. Gates open at 5.45pm with the game kicking off at 7.45pm.
The renaming of the bar comes not long after it was announced that the Kingsholm Stadium's famous Shed would be renamed The Compeed Shed following a new major sponsorship deal with the plaster brand Compeed.
As well as the change to the Cherry and White’s world-famous terrace, the Compeed brand will also feature on the Gloucester Rugby kit, as well as on the players’ bibs and water bottles, while Compeed will also provide support to the team’s medical department.
