An ever-popular fundraising event in Gloucestershire, Five Valleys Walk will return for its 31st year on Sunday 30 September 2018, raising money for Meningitis Now.
Offering even more incentive to join in the fundraising fun are the post-walk celebrations, which will be held at Stroud Cricket Club. A highlight will be the free pint of Stroud Brewery Ale for participants who complete the full 21-mile circuit and collect all eight stickers from each checkpoint.
There will also be a tasty hog roast available, as well as fresh pizza served by Salt Bakehouse and sweet treats such as cakes and ice-creams, which are sure to go down a treat with weary walkers.
Other new developments for 2018 will be a free refillable water bottle, which can be collected from participants’ starting checkpoints. Fruit and water will also be available at each checkpoint, and there’s the chance to purchase snacks to keep fuelled during the day.
The Five Valleys Walk offers the chance to soak up the beautiful countryside and do your bit for charity, with walkers able to choose their distance, completing part of the walk or taking in the whole 21 miles, with eight checkpoints on the way.
