GO Outdoors will join the plethora of leisure and shopping venues at Cheltenham's Brewery Quarter in autumn 2024.

A new store is preparing to open at Cheltenham’s Brewery Quarter this autumn 2024, poised to provide shoppers with easy access to quality outdoor products, encouraging more active and outdoor pursuits.

What's replacing Wilko in Cheltenham?

The Brewery Quarter has unveiled that GO Outdoors will take over the former Wilko space, which stopped trading back in October 2023.

Spanning an impressive 20,000 square feet, the new venture joins the likes of Danish homeware brand Søstrene Grene, Cineworld, Urban Outfitters and Flight Club, promising to be a significant addition to Cheltenham’s vibrant retail landscape, offering an enhanced shopping experience with a broad range of outdoor gear, clothing and equipment — all under one roof.

Lee Bagnall, GO Outdoors CEO said: 'We are thrilled to be opening our new store at The Brewery Quarter. This move allows us to provide an even greater range of products and services to our customers in Cheltenham.

'We believe that the new location, with its fantastic facilities and focus on leisure, is an ideal fit for our brand and supports our purpose of ‘inspiring and equipping everyone for life outdoors’. We look forward to becoming an integral part of the community here.'

Dominic Brady, partner of letting agent KLM Real Estate said: 'The Brewery Quarter has become an exceptional destination, and we’re delighted to welcome GO Outdoors to this prime High Street location. Their commitment to offering a comprehensive range of outdoor products complements the existing retail, leisure and fitness venues perfectly, creating an even more attractive destination for visitors.'

Nikki Kontarines, director of Martin Commercial Properties, the managing agents of The Brewery Quarter added: 'We are excited to welcome GO Outdoors to The Brewery Quarter. Their presence enhances our offering and underscores our dedication to promoting a vibrant, active lifestyle.

'With GO Outdoors joining our mix of retailers, fitness, and entertainment venues, their addition means the scheme is now 99 per cent let and helps make us the premier destination for leisure and entertainment in Cheltenham.'

An official opening date is yet to be confirmed, but it's anticipated to launch this autumn 2024.
