Cheltenham Town FC will face Manchester City in the FA Cup.
The Robins play Manchester City in the fourth round of the FA Cup in what will be the first time the two sides have played against one another competitively.
The game will take place at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium in Whaddon Road in Cheltenham on the weekend of Saturday 23 January at 5.30pm.
Although there will be no crowds to cheer them on, the prize money of £90,000 will be up for grabs with the winner going on to face either Swansea City or Nottingham Forest in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
This is only the third time that Cheltenham Town have reached this stage of the competition, whereas Manchester City have won the FA Cup six times — the last time they were champions was in 2019.
Cheltenham Town supporters have launched a Crowdfunder to raise money for the club by selling ‘virtual’ tickets for the game, which would almost certainly have sold out.
‘Virtual’ tickets cost £10 each and all the money raised will be donated to the club.
