The SoGlos Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards is back for 2023, with nominations officially open now via soglos.com/awards-lifestyle.
Sponsored by co-headline sponsors Visit Gloucestershire and Made in Gloucestershire, SGGLA is now in its sixth year – first launching in 2018 to shine a spotlight on the very best lifestyle sector businesses and charities in and around Gloucestershire.
Last year, SGGLA took over the taproom at Cheltenham's colourful DEYA Brewing Company to recognise Gloucestershire lifestyle businesses of all shapes, sizes and reputations; and this year's awards ceremony at Dunkertons Cider is set to be another unforgettable evening, with a high calibre of sponsors and event partners on board to make it the night of the year.
SoGlos is also thrilled to reveal an important development for this year's SGGLA entry and voting process.
As in previous years, businesses will nominate themselves and SoGlos readers will vote to decide a select list of finalists. But this year's winners and highly commended entries will be handpicked from the public's choice of finalists by a respected panel of judges, who will be looking closely at nominees' full applications – as well as their websites and social media – and drawing on first-hand experience.
This exciting development will provide fair opportunity for businesses of all backgrounds to gain recognition at this year's SGGLA, continuing its evolution as Gloucestershire's leading lifestyle awards. Just remember, it means the quality of your nomination form is more important than ever before!
Businesses can nominate themselves across 18 diverse categories, from the hotly contested Restaurant of the Year, to the brand-new addition of Pet Business of the Year; while exceptional individuals in the lifestyle sector can get the kudos they deserve through the returning Outstanding Contribution Award and the new Chef of the Year accolade.
Plus, all businesses in the running are in with the chance of being named overall Lifestyle Business of the Year – with the winner of this special award being chosen by headline co-sponsors, from the list of winners across all categories.

SGGLA 2023 key dates
Nominations are now open and close on Friday 31 March 2023.
A shortlist will be revealed on Tuesday 11 April 2023 and members of the public will be able to vote for their favourites in each category.
Voting closes on Friday 26 May 2023, with the finalists revealed and invited to the official awards evening on Tuesday 30 May 2023.
The much-anticipated awards evening will take place on Thursday 29 June 2023 at Dunkertons Cider.
