Nuffield Health Cheltenham Hospital has launched a private GP service.
For patients struggling to get an appointment with their NHS GP, Nuffield Health's private GPs offer convenient appointments with short wait times.
With very little waiting times for investigation, diagnostics and prescriptions, the service comes into its own when time is of essence.
Referrals can be made direct to a private consultant or specialist. An initial consultation costs £130 for a 30-minute face to face chat.
A follow-up consultation costs £65 for a 15-minute face-to-face conversation.
Patients with multiple problems to discuss can have a one-hour face-to-face consultation for £260.
Director of operations, Jamie Powell, said: 'Our new private GP service gives quick access to appointments, often within 24 hours.
'These can be either face-to-face, or held remotely, if you prefer.
'Patients will get longer appointment times of up to 30 minutes, as well as continuity of care — meaning you can see the same GP each time.
'Being based at Nuffield Cheltenham, means access is easy and we can quickly refer patients on to the right specialist if needed.
'There are no expensive monthly fees, meaning seeing a GP is quick and affordable.'
Services include 30 minutes of GP time, relevant examinations, referral letters to private consultants and specialists as well as private prescriptions.
For an additional cost, patients can also have urinalysis, including microscopy and culture for £83, ECGs for £115, a smear test for £85, same day X-rays for £135 to £750, ultrasounds from £354 to £750, mammograms for £245 and dexa scans for £209.
CT, MRI scans and blood tests are also available with individual pricing issued on request.
