A new private GP clinic has opened in Cheltenham's Montpellier area — and it encourages patients to book 30-minute appointments to ensure they have a 'relaxed and thorough' consultation.
With an extensive range of services on offer, Montpellier Medical offers flexible opening hours which vary by day but include 8am starts and evening appointments until 8pm, together with alternate Saturday mornings. Doctors can even offer home visits in some cases.

Run by two NHS doctors, Dr Laura O’Loghlen and Dr Justin Forbes, who have over 40 years of experience between them, the clinic focuses on 'preventive medicine, early diagnosis and personalised treatment'.
It offers longer GP appointments with no limit on the number of issues that can be discussed, alongside health checks; blood tests; weight management; driver, employee and leisure medicals; joint and B12 injections; and many other specialist services and diagnostics.
Dr Laura O’Loghlen, founder of Montpellier Medical, said: 'I decided to set up Montpellier Medical in order to provide holistic, personalised care with continuity for both my patients and myself.
'I hope it will become a sanctuary in the middle of Cheltenham in which people can expect first-class care at a reasonable cost, with good access and experienced, knowledgeable doctors.
'We have an emphasis on preventative care with our health checks, focusing on healthspan and not just lifespan. We want people to be healthy and feel great!'
In a bid to alleviate lengthy phone queues, Laura was keen to be able to offer an online booking system where patients choose their own day and time. They can even choose the length of time needed for each appointment, but the clinic's doctors usually recommend a minimum of 30 minutes to allow time for an unhurried and thorough consultation.
Laura continued: 'We can usually get any investigation results, such as blood tests, back to you with a personalised report within 48 hours — and can arrange speedy referrals to the specialist of your choice, too.'
