Nuffield Health Cheltenham Hospital is set to benefit from major investment in innovative, AI-enabled diagnostic imaging technology.
It comes as Nuffield Health signed a landmark £200 million collaboration to equip Nuffield Health Cheltenham Hospital and other Nuffield Health Hospitals across the UK, with the latest diagnostic imaging technology from GE HealthCare.
With access to innovative AI-enabled systems designed to help overcome some of the biggest challenges in healthcare, the collaboration will support Cheltenham’s ambition to deliver leading diagnostic services in Gloucestershire.
It is also underpinned by a shared commitment to sustainable healthcare, incorporating ongoing upgrades to energy-efficient technology as it evolves.
GE HealthCare is a leader in AI-enabled technologies embedded in devices, solutions that provide predictive analytics across the patient journey, and at the enterprise level to streamline operations.
Nuffield Health Cheltenham Hospital will benefit from GE HealthCare’s deep learning and AI-enabled systems that are designed to help clinicians provide faster, more accurate diagnoses, and provide critical answers for patients, sooner.
Teams at the hospital are looking forward to reducing patient wait times and providing a better experience.
The technology will also be used to support access to care in the NHS; with more than 1.6 million people awaiting diagnostic
tests nationally, Nuffield Hospital will be able to offer greater support to NHS
teams across the UK.
Bringing in the new tech will also make healthcare greener, with more energy-efficient technology replacing older more energy-hungry machinery as it evolves.
