Foodies are being spoiled for choice at the Three Counties Food and Drink Festival this Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 July 2023, with a smörgåsbord of celebrity chefs on the line-up.
Visitors can look forward to legendary chef, cookery writer and star of The Big Family Cooking Showdown and The Real Marigold Hotel, Rosemary Shrager, headlining on Saturday 29, showing off her unrivalled skills with a live demonstration.
She's joined by Great British Bake Off winner and Strictly Come Dancing star, John Whaite, who'll be sharing his love of local produce; and the Dirty Vegan, Matt Pritchard, discussing his passion for plant-based food.
Then on Sunday 30, chef and Saturday Kitchen host, Matt Tebbutt, is headlining; with appearances from Masterchef 2022 finalist Pookie, showing off her creative culinary skills; and four-time Michelin-star chef and restauranteur, Jean Christophe-Novelli, sharing his knowledge of classical French cuisine.
Food expert and Eat Well For Less? presenter, Chris Bavin, is hosting in the 500-seat Cookery Theatre on both days, sharing his top tips on how to save money while still making healthy family meals and how to reduce food waste, too.
Bavin said: 'I am really excited to be heading to Malvern to join the Saturday and Sunday line-up at the Three Counties Food and Drink Festival, and to host a weekend of fabulous celebrity talent in the Cookery Theatre. I look forward to seeing which dishes the guests whip up for our audiences, and to share my own tips on reducing food waste.'
While in the popular Children's Cookery School, little ones can get messy making butter, cheese and ice cream with the Dairy Maid Lee-Anna Rennie-Johnson; and learn how to make pasta and gnocchi with Twiddle Food, with sessions costing just £4 on the day.
There are also plenty of chances to take part in coffee, cocktail and wine tasting sessions; sample and shop for some of the finest produce from around the region at over 150 trade stalls; tuck into freshly prepared street food; ride on the fairground; and take part in free arts and crafts activities across the weekend.
Festival organiser, Bev Channell, said: 'We have worked so hard to create a diverse and exciting line-up of guests and activities, and with the addition of our new celebrity guests and programme of fantastic food and drink workshops which will run alongside our previously announced wine-tasting sessions and children’s Cookery School, we believe that there is something for everybody at the Three Counties Food and Drink Festival.'
