In celebration of the ten-day Cheltenham Literature Festival, The Ivy Montpellier Brasserie’s mixologist has whizzed up four new cocktails based around books – all served with an Insta-worthy Ivy Collection book casing.
The four cocktails feature an assortment of ingredients such as edible gold, Jalapeno syrup, gin and tea – not all at once! – and are available throughout the Lit Fest, from Friday 4 to Sunday 13 October 2019.
Revelers at The Ivy Cheltenham will be able to order themselves ‘The Golden Goose by The Brothers Grimm’, featuring Grey Goose orange vodka, Patron Citronage orange and cranberry juice with prosecco, in an edible gold-sprayed coupe glass; or the dark and creamy ‘Don Quixote by Cervantes’, which includes Grey Goose vodka, Patron XO Café and jalapeno syrup, shaken with a mix of espresso and double cream.
The delightfully delicate-sounding ‘Alice In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll’ sees Bombay Sapphire gin, St Germain elderflower and Ivy 1917 breakfast tea, all served in a balloon glass with ice, alongside a bottle of Fever-Tree Elderflower tonic; while ‘On The Road by Jack Kerouac’ sounds a more stiff selection, mixing Jack Daniels with ginger juice, with Fever-Tree ginger ale on the side.
