Celebrating the world premiere of Great British Bake Off – The Musical
coming to Gloucestershire, the Everyman Theatre and SoGlos have been on the hunt to find the county's most talented bakers. With gateaux galore, carefully crafted cupcakes and secret recipes entered into the Great Gloucestershire Bake Off competition, the winners and runners-up can finally be revealed.
Gloucestershire bakers have been busy in the kitchen over the past month, as the #GlosBakeOff hashtag was used more than 100 times across social media, entering an abundance of incredible sweet and savoury treats into the competition.
Handpicked by the Everyman team, the first prize winner is not only bagging themselves the status of being Gloucestershire’s Star Baker, but also four tickets for Great British Bake Off – The Musical, the opportunity to meet the cast of the new musical, plus, a special afternoon tea at the Everyman Theatre café too!
The two runners up will also be gifted a pair of tickets to the brand-new show, which will be on stage from Friday 22 July to Saturday 6 August 2022 at The Everyman in Cheltenham.
Apart from opening night, winners can pick any night of their choice to go along and watch the show - including the gala performance on Thursday 28 July which will feature some celebrity faces sitting among the crowd...
Gracing the stage for two weeks only, tickets for Great British Bake Off - The Musical's debut at Cheltenham's Everyman Theatre are on sale now and can be purchased via everymantheatre.org.uk.

Drum roll please... There's no denying the talent of our star baker Sophie Dove, with her entry featuring a series of delightful bakes showcasing her skills, including a sumptuously sweet tower of profiteroles and a decadent three-tiered jubilee creation - the icing on the cake is that our winner is only 13-years-old! Not only crowned Gloucestershire's Star Baker, Sophie has won the first prize for the Great Gloucestershire Bake Off competition, including four tickets to see the world premiere of Great British Bake Off - The Musical, a chance to meet the cast of the show, as well as an exciting afternoon tea at the Everyman Theatre café.

In a tough decision, two other bakes stood out to the judges in the Great Gloucestershire Bake Off competition, impressing the team with their creativity and attention to detail - each being awarded a pair of tickets to watch the world premiere on stage in Cheltenham.
Paying homage to the cast starring in the production of Great British Bake Off - The Musical and the shows they have performed in in the past, @amandaparrott_voice created a brilliant theatre-inspired cake, featuring handcrafted, edible decorations.
Made for her garden-loving dad, @sarahlewisloves put together a wonderful chocolate vegetable patch, featuring marzipan veggies, Peter Rabbit and friends.

While there could only be one overall winner, the calibre of entries in the baking competition was brilliant; shout-outs to all the bakers in the county for taking the time to enter and putting the time into creating delicious and decadent designs.
@mysweetcreationss showcased a Victoria sponge with strawberry conserve, decorated with a delightful sprinkling of colourful buttercream flowers.
Thinking pink, @laureninthewindow baked some fancy flamingo cakes to celebrate the occasion!
Bex Abbott created cakes fit for the Queen with her Great Gloucestershire Bake Off entries.
@captioncatering created this incredibly life-like edible floral arrangement - it almost looks too good to eat!
A food-inspired creation and perfect for the hot weather, Sophie Crocker entered a vibrant watermelon cake.
