Foodies can learn how to cook up The Beefy Boys' newest specialty themselves at home when the cult burger brand returns to BBC's Saturday Kitchen this August 2024.

The team of award-winning burger experts — made up of four childhood friends — heads to London this month to promote the release of their first ever cookbook, The Beefy Boys: From Backyard BBQ to World-Class Burgers, which is available from Thursday 15 August 2024.

The Boys' debut in the capital includes a pop-up at the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane; an exclusive supper club at iconic London food destination, Fortnum & Mason; and a second appearance on popular BBC cooking show, Saturday Kitchen, on Saturday 17 August 2024.

Appearing alongside host Matt Tebbutt, Beefy Boys co-founder Anthony 'Murf' Murphy — voted Burger Chef of the Year at the National Burger Awards 2023 — will be showing viewers how to create a brand new special, the cheese skirt burger.

Inspired by the burgers of Sacramento, the cheese skirt is a crispy grilled disc of cheese added to your burger, with the cheese melted on the grill until 'caramelised and golden on the outside and gooey in the middle'.

From three restaurants in Hereford, Shrewsbury and Cheltenham along with mobile food trucks, The Beefy Boys has garnered a huge cult following and amassed an impressive haul of awards — including best burger at the National Burger Awards 2023.

The TV appearance this month marks the third on the BBC in a year, with features on The Hidden World of Hospitality with Tom Kerridge on BBC Two as well as Saturday Kitchen in August 2023, following huge success at the National Burger Awards.

The new cookbook, The Beefy Boys: From Backyard BBQ to World-Class Burgers, offers fans 'a deep dive into the art of burger-making', packed with step-by-step guides on how to make classics like The Beefy Boy, The Oklahoma Onion Boy and The Buffalo Chicken Boy; specials including The Sunday Roast British Boy and The Christmas Boy; veggie favourites like The Leafy Boy and The Beanie Boy; and signature sides Jalapeño Poppers, Millionaire Fries and more.
