Mexican food lovers will soon be able to get their taco fix in the Regency town, with Taco Bell planning to open its newest restaurant in Cheltenham.

Having applied for planning permission on Wednesday 20 October 2021, the American fast-food chain has now signed a 10-year lease to the former Caffè Nero coffee shop on Cheltenham High Street.

This follows the news that Taco Bell will be opening its first county restaurant in Gloucester, which SoGlos revealed back in May 2021.

An opening date for Cheltenham’s new Taco Bell restaurant has not yet been announced, but local diners can expect all of its fan favourites including crunchy tacos, quesadilla cravings boxes, churros with dip and crispy chicken burritos once it opens its doors in the town.

Taco Bell hopes the new restaurant will also create new jobs for residents in the area – with the company currently taking applications online.
