A Stroud-based personal trainer has created a recipe book to help raise funds for Stroud Women’s Refuge.

Carl Benton, who owns Personal Best Studio in South Woodchester, has created Inspired: A Collection of Recipes that Will Inspire You to Cook which features recipes from top chefs – including Gloucestershire’s very own Tom Kerridge.

Alongside Tom Kerridge, the book features more than 50 recipes inspired by popular chefs that are easy to prepare and delicious to eat. Split into different sections, the book provides readers with breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks – with some treats thrown in for good measure, too.

What’s more, the recipe book also features words of encouragement and support to help cooks grow in confidence and inspire people to cook along.

All profits from the sale of the book will go to Stroud Women’s Refuge, who rely solely on the generosity of donors to offer accommodation and support services to women and their children who have been affected by domestic abuse.

The cookbook, which has been self-funded by Mr Benton, costs £20 and goes on sale in September 2021, but it is available to pre-order now.
