Enjoy a true taste of Italy in Cheltenham this summer 2024 when Settebello opens its second family-run restaurant.

Pasta lovers assemble! Family-run restaurant, Settebello, will be serving up authentic Italian cuisine inspired by its Southern Italian roots at its newest restaurant in Cheltenham, with doors set to open this summer 2024.

Settebello has been a success since opening its first venue at Gloucester Docks back in 2019 — and now Cheltonians can enjoy the taste of Italy, right down to the speciality tomatoes and pasta sauce.

Taking over Belgrave House — the building that previously housed Cheltenham's Pizza Express — on Imperial Square, the new restaurant features pizza ovens imported from Naples and menus influenced by the seasons, allowing diners to experience a 'real taste of Italy', within the refurbished restaurant or alfresco on the terrace.

While a specific menu isn't confirmed for the new site, diners can expect to see the Gloucester fan favourite, the Settebello Metro Board, providing pizza fans a metre-long pie with four different toppings to share with friends and family. Its bases can be made gluten-free and its dough is vegan, with vegan cheese available for toppings, too, so everyone can get involved.

Along with penne all’arrabbiata in a fiery tomato sauce with harissa, parsley and garlic; rigatonia con ragu with traditional slow braised ox cheeks, red wine, mushrooms and aged parmesan; salt and pepper deep-fried calamari; pollo, featuring chargrilled chicken breast, prosciutto, oven dried tomatoes, basil pesto, burrata and potato hash browns; and much more.

The restaurant also has an entire gluten-free pasta range, with creamy carbonara, rich ragu or flavourful fungi e tartufo being just some of the sauces on offer. The Italian hot spot also serves a superb selection of fish and meat.

If you're feeling thirsty, the popular Italian also offers 50-plus wines and champagnes as well as draught beers and signature cocktails, rivalling big city bars.

The official summer opening date for Settebello Cheltenham is yet to be confirmed.
