Known for bringing the bold and authentic flavours of Thailand to the UK, Rosa's Thai is opening its newest restaurant on The Promenade in Cheltenham — and SoGlos was invited on an exclusive tour of the latest venue ahead of its soft launch on Tuesday 25 February 2025.
Joining the rich variety of eateries in Cheltenham, Rosa's Thai was initially founded in 2008 by husband-and-wife duo Saiphin and Alex Moore — inspired by Saiphin’s culinary journey from her hometown of Khao Kho in northern Thailand.
The brand grew from a street stall on Brick Lane’s Sunday market in the East End of London — which quickly became the locals’ favourite — to now, with over 40 restaurants across the UK.
The restaurant offers a laid-back and contemporary space, dressed with warm and inviting decor, complementing Rosa’s hearty, rich dishes — while of course, paying homage to Thailand.
Expect vibrant reds and pinks, deep blues and earthy greens; a modern, central bar to grab your Thai-inspired cocktail; quirky wall art; chilled music; oak table tops; sofa style seating and contemporary chairs; potted plants; sympathetic lighting; and wooden accents throughout.
On the menu, tuck in to small plates such as chicken satay and prawn doughnuts; mains from drunken noodles to aromatic curries; classic ‘beer snacks' like crispy pork bites and Thai fried chicken; and an indulgent dessert menu, too — featuring Thai churros!

Offering a limited number of reservations during the soft launch from Wednesday 25 February to Sunday 9 March 2025, guests can enjoy 50 per cent off food, with drinks at full price — please note, advance bookings are required to secure a table.
Plus, in line with the hard launch on Monday 10 March 2025, Rosa's will be offering delivery via Uber Eats and Just Eat, as well as click and collect through its own website.
Rosa's Thai is open 12pm to 9.30pm from Monday to Thursday; 12pm to 10pm Friday and Saturday; and 12pm to 9pm on Sunday.
