Having revealed plans for a rooftop restaurant in the heart of Cheltenham back in February 2018, planners have now confirmed that the designs have been approved and will go ahead later this year.
With work expected to start at the end of 2018, the plans include a glass-walled rooftop restaurant with views across Imperial Gardens and the heart of Cheltenham town centre.
As part of the redevelopment of the Quadrangle building, the plans also include a new restaurant space on the ground floor and refurbished office spaces.
Speaking about the plans, Paul Jenkins from SF Planning said: ‘A complete internal refurbishment will also take place to update the four floors of office space while the creation of prime retail and restaurant space on the ground floor and a new roof-top extension will provide opportunities for the town’s residents and visitors to enjoy the space with views over Imperial Gardens.’
With a big transformation on the cards, the restaurant is expected to be complete within 12 to 18 months of starting building work.
