Restaurant Journey is returning to Cheltenham with a new menu, location and concept.

The team behind Cheltenham’s innovative fine dining experience is back in town with a bold new chapter — in a secret location.

Head chef Jeff Lewis and his partner Kenni took a step back from Restaurant Journey in Bath Road in June 2024 to continue exploring their passions for travel, wine and new flavours.

Now, armed with fresh ideas from months spent in central Africa, south east Asia and the Middle East, they have returned to Gloucestershire with an immersive dining experience which they say is unlike anything Cheltenham has seen before.

Running from Friday 2 May to Thursday 31 July 2025, the initial 10-course tasting menu will draw on inspiration from their travels, bringing together bold flavours, vibrant ingredients and creative cooking techniques.

But diners will have to find it first, following hints and clues to uncover the hidden location in the town centre before they arrive.

The first floor of the hidden Cheltenham test kitchen has been transformed into an intimate dining space for 16 guests per evening, with service running just three evenings a week.

Jeff said: 'Expect an exhilarating, multi-sensory tasting menu, where theatrics, storytelling and modern techniques come together to create an unforgettable dining experience that challenges expectations.

'Together with a carefully curated selection of wines that will continually evolve, each visit will be a new chapter in an unfolding story of flavour and innovation.'
