Picnic platters, delicious drinks collected from an outdoor bar and free walking maps of the surrounding Windrush Valley have been introduced at The Maytime Inn in Burford, this summer.

The Cotswold country pub’s takeaway menu changes on a weekly basis, with orders taken a day in advance.

As well as pub classics including wild boar burger and beer-battered haddock and chips for locals to enjoy, The Maytime Inn is also offering two sharing platters, perfect for daytrips and picnics – one with cured meats, pickles and salad, another with a selection of artisan cheeses and fresh bread.

The Maytime Inn’s outdoor bar is also serving a small range of wine, gin and local beer to take away too, which can be bought via contactless card payment on the day of collection.

Plus, you can also pick up a free walking the surrounding Windrush Valley too.

Strict social distancing rules will be in place at The Maytime Inn to keep customers safe when collecting their food and drinks.

Food takeaways, including picnic platters, must be pre-ordered via text to 07712 718900 or email to info@themaytime.com by 6pm on the day before collection. Orders can then be picked up on Friday from 6 to 8pm, Saturday from 12 to 3pm or 6 to 8pm and Sunday 12 to 3pm. The outdoor bar will also be open at these times to collect takeaway drinks.
