Racegoers can enjoy the authentic flavours of Japan and Korea at Nagomi during Race Week in Cheltenham, with the buzzing independent restaurant opening until midnight all week.
Nagomi means 'the place to come and meet together' and there'll be plenty of time to gather and celebrate with the doors staying open late and the last food orders being taken at 9.30pm.
Revellers can fill up on sharing plates and try out traditional Japanese and Korean barbecue techniques on smokeless table grills, as well as sipping on Japanese Kirin beer on draught; saké; Korean Soju in different flavours including pomegranate.
Signature dishes include yakiniku, which is Japanese barbecued meat, seafood and vegetables cooked on individual smokeless Japanese table grills. Another favourite is Japanese hotpot dish, Shabu Shabu. You get to cook your meat, seafood and veggies in a konbu broth that's packed with umami flavour.
There’s also a selection of tasty, authentic Korean and Japanese small plates, such as Pajeon - a toasty spring onion pancake,
crispy Korean corn dogs with a melting cheese interior, plus awesome Sseoul fried chicken in honey garlic or spicy Yanyeum sauce. There’s plenty of more
traditional favourites such Japanese sushi, California rolls, Tonkatsu and
Yakisoba noodles.
The Japanese-Korean fusion restaurant sits right next door to popular Filipino restaurant, Pyesta, in part of the building that formerly housed The Stable on Clarence Street in the centre of Cheltenham.
Nagomi will be open from 3pm to midnight from Tuesday 14 to Friday 17 March 2023.
