Diners will be spoiled for choice with the array of small plates on the latest seasonal menu at Sam’s Montpellier in Cheltenham.
While some make ideal snacks and others are perfect for sharing, each dish can also be mixed and matched to make an entire meal.
In fact, chef Sam Price loves to see guests get creative in picking and choosing from the selection on offer, inspired by the earth, land and sea.
Among the vegan-friendly, plant-based options (listed under earth) are cashew croquettes with beetroot puree and kale crisps, as well as hazelnut and Wye Valley asparagus tart, not forgetting the savoury pistachio parfait that regulars already know and love.
Meanwhile, carnivores can get their teeth into everything from braised pork belly, to overnight lamb and black pudding scotch egg (land); alongside Cornish mussels, gin-cured salmon, charred mackerel fillets and Scottish scallops from the sea section.
And if you’re still hungry after that, there are some delicious desserts (‘heaven’, of course) to choose from as well, including strawberry baked Alaska, vanilla and blueberry crème brulee and dark chocolate mousse with raspberry syrup.
With the return of warmer weather, Sam has also launched a new spritz cocktail menu, spanning peach & kiwi, strawberry & hibiscus, watermelon & mint, apple, elderflower and cucumber, alongside the classic Aperol spritz.
There will also be live music from solo guitarists Billy Driscoll (7.30pm on Thursday 28 April 2022) and D’Artagnan (7.30pm on Friday 29 April 2022) to coincide with Cheltenham Jazz Festival.
