Stroud’s Five Valleys Shopping Centre has announced plans to create a brand new indoor food market, home to 20 permanent stalls which will be open every day, the market takes inspiration from London’s popular foodie hotspot, Borough Market.
Five Valleys is now looking for local traders, producers and companies to get involved in the market, which is set to open in February 2020. Ideally, the team is looking for traders such as craft-brewers, a fishmonger, cheesemonger, artisan bakers, a chocolatier, coffee sellers and greengrocers.
The managing director of Dransfield Properties Mark Dransfield said: ‘We are passionate about delivering good quality markets in the communities where we work, and Gloucestershire is famous for its food producers.
‘The market area is going to look stunning and we now want traders to come forward to be part of this exciting new project. This will underpin Stroud’s commitment to a truly sustainable town centre.’
The introduction of the market is part of an enormous renovation and rebrand of the shopping centre, which was previously known as Merrywalks.
