Expanding from its current base in Moreton-in-Marsh, commercial Gloucestershire bakery Four Anjels is launching a new, much larger factory in Cheltenham.
Opening at Furlong Business Park in March 2022, the move is thanks to a £1.8million investment and a new contract to supply M&S cafés across the UK with its baked goods, in addition to Pret A Manger and Dunelm cafés.
Producing around 20 product lines every week, from shortbread to brownies, Four Anjels bakery will be producing around 700,000 portions per month, with the move to Cheltenham allowing the manufacturer to expand range of free-from and vegan products.
The new Cheltenham bakery will create 20 new jobs, in addition to the 40 positions currently held in Moreton-in-Marsh.
Andrea Stevens, managing director at Four Anjels, said: ‘It has been an incredibly exciting period of growth at Four Anjels, particularly through our relationship with M&S.
‘The new premises will allow us to comfortably take on new business opportunities and welcome more team members, as well as develop new products as we embark on an ambitious business growth strategy.’
