Head to The King's Arms Prestbury for delicious food and drink, served up within the cosy surroundings of the historic pub.

The historic King's Arms in Prestbury in the Cotswolds is bursting with character, from its distinctive interiors to its outdoor dining sheds, making it an excellent place for socialising, whether it's a casual Sunday lunch or a festive gathering this yuletide season.

More than 500-years-old, the inn features classic wooden beams and roaring inglenook fireplaces, so you can cosy up near the fire as you dine in one of the quirky nooks within the pub.

For Christmas 2023, the team at The King's Arms has revealed the brand-new festive party menu, packed with tinselly treats fit for old St. Nick himself.

Passionate about local and sustainable produce, the team design menus that feature seasonal ingredients — efforts that have been rewarded with a three-star rating under the Food Made Good Standard from The Sustainable Restaurant Association.

For £37.50 per person, why not book for a Christmas party? With choices including pork terrine to start, followed by traditional turkey with all the trimmings, an apple and gooseberry compote for pudding, not forgetting the mince pies to top it all off.

Plus, avoid the stress and washing up on the big day and head to The King's Arms for its six-course feast.

Priced at £99.95 per guest, tuck into a celeriac soup, before moving on to a starter with options including king scallops or a beetroot terrine; a main of beef wellington or turkey; then cleanse the pallet with a blackcurrant sorbet and enjoy a dessert of classic Christmas pudding, followed by a cheeseboard and then a cup of tea or coffee with a mince pie — yum!

Aside from the delicious food, another reason to visit is the pub's brand-new seasonal happy hour. Serving up classics such as signature gin and tonics and warming amaretto sours, grab two for the price of one from 5pm until 7pm, Monday to Friday up until Friday 24 November 2023.

Cosy Sunday lunches are also covered, with choices of meat including chicken or beef, and a beetroot and smoked cheddar parcel for vegetarians — all served with cauliflower cheese, roasted seasonal vegetables and bottomless roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and the all-important gravy.

Trivia lovers can challenge friends and family to an evening of competitive quizzing at the weekly quiz night that takes place every first Tuesday of the month, including December.

Finally, for creatives and makers alike, The Kings Arms Prestbury partners with Create Cheltenham to host its monthly craft market. Great for grabbing homemade gifts and trinkets, or for ticking off those nice lists.
