When The Ivy opened in London in 1917, it was as an unassuming cafe, nestled in the heart of the West End.
It quickly became a favourite haunt for artists, actors and celebrities, looking to unwind with a tipple at the bar.
As the dishes became more popular, it steadily introduced new destinations. Today, The Ivy has 15 branches across London and 26 more stretching throughout the UK.
In Cheltenham, The Ivy Montpellier Brasserie is kicking off the new year with a special all-day set menu offering two courses for £19.17 or three for £24.17 in a nod to its humble beginnings.
Diners can unlock a time capsule of flavours that have graced The Ivy's tables for over a century, paying homage to the dishes that started it all.
Favourite flavours include The Ivy original shepherd’s pie, as well as the traditional frozen berries with white chocolate sauce.
The historic menu is available from 11.30am daily between Thursday 4 January to Friday 9 February 2024.
It's accompanied by cocktails inspired by the glitterati of the roaring twenties who graced the doors of the original cafe.
In partnership with Bombay Sapphire gin and St-Germain elderflower liqueur, mixologists pay homage to the sophistication of the era.
Sip on the past and enjoy Marlene Dietrich’s Glitz, Vivien Leigh’s Elixir and The Cecil Beaton Spritz.
On Thursday 11 January 2024, there'll be an evening of live entertainment from Kim Cypher and her band to accompany the 1917 menu.
The Ivy Montpellier Brasserie general
manager, Keith Squire, said: 'The £19.17 all-day set menu invites guests to become part of the narrative,
rediscover our classics, and play a part in our ever-unfolding story.'
