With the eagerly-awaited Cheltenham John Lewis store set to open its doors in October 2018, store managers at the shop have announced that Cotswold tearoom business, Huffkins, will open a café within the new store.

With five tearooms across the Cotswolds including Cheltenham, Burford and Stratford-upon-Avon to name a few, Huffkins will be serving up its signature afternoon tea, coffees, cakes and freshly baked treats as well as a children’s Teddy Bear’s Picnic afternoon tea, too.

Renowned for using high-quality locally-sourced produce, Huffkins first opened in 1890 and its newest tearoom will provide a brand-new brunch spot in the centre of Cheltenham.

Speaking about Huffkins taking pride of place in the Cheltenham John Lewis store, branch manager for John Lewis Cheltenham, Martin Bundy said: ‘It’s brilliant to bring local flavour into our new Cheltenham shop.

‘Huffkins has a strong heritage in Cheltenham and the wider Cotswolds area, and we’re proud to be partnering with such a prestigious local brand for our first shop in Gloucestershire. I know our customers will love their delicious food.’
