Home-grown and locally sourced dining hub joins exciting line-up at Gloucester Food Dock

Following a succession of incredible openings since 2023, Gloucester Food Dock is preparing to welcome Roots + Seeds in 2025.

Roots + Seeds Kitchen Garden is expanding its stable in 2025, with the foodie hub set to open doors to its newest venue on the quayside at Gloucester Food Dock.

The new restaurant — from the team behind The Scenic Supper — will be serving up coffee, breakfast, brunch and lunch daily; and dinner on Friday and Saturday nights.

Offering regularly changing menus, dishes will be dictated by the seasons and what’s best on the day to showcase produce from both local artisan producers and Roots + Seeds' very own garden, along with a ‘specials board’ of delicious ‘field to fork’ meals.

In an Instagram post, it was revealed that dining guests can expect to find banquette-style seating lit from above by ‘nautical style’ metal wall lamps and white painted shiplap boards supporting large mirrors and an open kitchen at the rear.

Floors will be covered with black and white Victorian-style patterned tiles and the cafe will be situated at the waterside end with a pea green painted coffee counter.

While an official opening date is yet to be confirmed, Roots + Seeds plans to open in spring 2025, adding to the rich Gloucester Food Dock community.
