Roots + Seeds officially reveals date it will join the exciting lineup at Gloucester Food Dock

Following a succession of incredible openings since 2023, Gloucester Food Dock is preparing to welcome Roots + Seeds in April 2025.

Roots + Seeds Kitchen Garden is expanding its stable in 2025, with the foodie hub set to open doors to its newest venue on the quayside at Gloucester Food Dock in April.

The new restaurant — from the team behind The Scenic Supper — will be serving up coffee and fresh bakes, breakfast, classic brunch options, sandwiches and salads, as well as more substantial dishes such as burgers and fresh pasta, all freshly made to order.

Offering regularly changing menus, dishes will be dictated by the seasons and what’s best on the day to showcase produce from both local artisan producers and Roots + Seeds' very own garden, along with a ‘specials board’ of delicious ‘field to fork’ meals.

Vegetarian and vegan dishes are also available on every course and all dietary requirements are catered for.

The ground floor of a renovated Victorian warehouse, dining guests can expect to find banquette-style seating lit from above by ‘nautical style’ metal wall lamps and white painted shiplap boards supporting large mirrors and an open kitchen at the rear.

Situated at the waterside, there's also a large, sunny terrace, ideal for sipping and feasting on warmer days.

Co-founder, Toby Baggott, said: 'We are just so excited to be able to open our second restaurant at Gloucester Food Dock.

'Not only is this area a successful hub known for its superb independent food outlets but it’s also a wonderful and historic location with fantastic views over Victoria Basin.'

The new site is open Tuesday to Sunday from 7am to 5pm.

Roots + Seeds officially opens from 7am on Tuesday 8 April 2025, adding to the rich Gloucester Food Dock community.
